Ganjar Pranowo Builds Bridge That Was Damaged By Floods

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo stated that he would soon build a bridge connecting Jebenplampitan Village, Sukoharjo District, Wonosobo Regency with Larangan Village, Pagentan District, Banjarnegara Regency. The bridge was damaged due to flooding at the end of 2021.

This was conveyed when Ganjar stopped by to inspect the bridge, on the sidelines of checking the extreme poverty alleviation program in Banjarnegara, Wednesday, January 19. Ganjar also received complaints from residents.

"Sir, I'm carrying vegetables, sir. It's hard for the bridge to be damaged," shouted a mother in Jebengplampitan village when she saw Ganjar being inspected.

"Yes, ma'am, why don't you get dressed, what vaccines are you getting, sir," said Ganjar in response to the mother's complaint.

Ganjar, who was accompanied by representatives of relevant officials from the Regency Government, later regretted the individual attitude that caused the bridge construction to be canceled.

"So I feel guilty. Yes wislah, so I'm asking this now, I'll help, whether I want to wake up or not. If we want, we will finish it," said the governor.

Ganjar said his party will immediately prepare a budget for the construction of the bridge, which is estimated to reach Rp. 2.2 billion.

"We've calculated this, it's not expensive, it's around Rp. 2.2 billion. I know the calculation. So in 2019 I'm here, I'm tired, sorry for the people. If we can make this a priority, we will push it," he said.

In line with that, Ganjar through the Department of Public Works, Highways and Cipta Karya also urged to immediately complete the design of the bridge building.

"This may be permanent later, and we have asked the provincial government to design it. Then we will communicate later," he said.

Ganjar will try to realize the bridge construction as soon as possible. Thus, the bridge that connects the two areas can be used again by the community.

Meanwhile, the people who usually use the bridge were forced to turn a considerable distance.

"Hopefully, after coming from here, I ask the Department of Highways to immediately design so that it can be quickly (built)," he said.

For information, the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo and the Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin visited the Jebengplampitan Bridge in 2019 and promised to immediately build the bridge using the 2020 FY APBD, or through the post-disaster BNPB budget.

However, at the 2019 Musrenbangprov, the Banjarnegara Regent at that time refused to apply for Regency/City Bankeu sourced from the Central Java Provincial Budget for the FY 2020. The bridge construction had not been realized until the Banjarnegara Regent was OTT by the KPK at the end of 2021.
