The Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the Bandung City Health Office, Rosye Arosdiani, said the six people had tested positive for Omicron after the test results came out of the West Java Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda).
"Yes, it turns out that we have confirmed Omicron, a patient at the quarantine center in the province," said Rosye in Bandung, West Java, Antara, Wednesday, January 19.
According to him, a team from the Bandung City Health Office is still conducting an epidemiological investigation to determine the source of the infection. However, according to him, it is suspected that the six people were exposed to local transmission.

Rosye said that of the six people, there were four who had undergone treatment at the hospital because they had comorbidities.
Then they were moved to the BPSDM building which was used as an integrated place for people exposed to COVID-19 after undergoing testing.
Meanwhile, according to Rosye, the other two people are in good condition. Even so, they have not been able to return home because they are still undergoing monitoring.
