According To The Decree Of The Four Ministers, Face-to-face Learning Must Be Stopped If There Are Cases Of COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) has requested that face-to-face learning (PTM) be temporarily suspended if clusters of COVID-19 transmission are found. This is similar to the Decree of the four ministers.

"Based on the four ministerial decrees, limited PTM is temporarily suspended if it is at least 14 times 24 hours if there is a cluster of COVID-19 transmission in the education unit, then the 'positivity rate' is above five percent, and residents of the education unit are included in the case notification. black is above five percent," said Secretary General Suharti during a working meeting with Commission X of the DPR which was monitored in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 19.

If after the surveillance has been carried out, the results are not a limited PTM cluster or the "positivity rate" rate is below five percent, then the limited PTM is only stopped in the study group with confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, if the behavioral surveillance rate in the education unit is below 80 percent, then a reassessment of the readiness of the checklist and the application of health protocols will be carried out, and PTM in the education unit can be suspended until it is declared ready to implement the health protocol.

"Health protocols must be maintained because they are part of efforts to protect oneself from COVID-19 infection," he said.

In the latest four ministerial decrees, he continued, vaccination is a requirement in the implementation of PTM. Teachers and education personnel who have not been vaccinated can teach through PJJ. Meanwhile, those who refuse to be vaccinated even though the vaccine is available and meet the vaccination requirements can be given sanctions which refer to Presidential Regulation 14/20221 in the form of delaying or terminating social security or social assistance, delaying or discontinuing administrative services government and fines.

Parents or guardians of students are asked to encourage their children who have met the requirements to be vaccinated immediately, but it is not a limited PTM requirement.

Suharti said that 68 percent of education units were able to carry out 100 percent of limited PTM with a maximum duration of learning in classes of six hours, and only one percent of education units had PJJ. The remaining 31 percent of education units carry out 50 percent limited PTM with a maximum duration of four hours of learning in class.
