Langkat Regent Affected By OTT KPK, Governor Edy: Please Accountable, I Will Monitor

JAKARTA - The Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi, emphasized the issue of Langkat Regent, Terbit Rencana Perangin Angin, who must be responsible for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) sting operation (OTT). Apart from the Regent of Langkat, there is an office head that was secured by the KPK.

"I have received the information but I don't know what the problem is, for that all must be able to do not punish if it is not certain. Let's wait for the confirmation that I will definitely defend my children if my children are right. For that, please take responsibility for everything that is your responsibility. I will monitor it later, after I know for sure, I will inform you", said Governor Edy in Medan on Wednesday, January 19.

Currently, the Regent of Langkat is still being investigated at the Binjai Police. After that, the Regent of Langkat will be flown to Jakarta.

"For that, let's be held accountable first. I will give my support and I will pray because I have said this many times, after I know it, I will tell you", said Edy.

Previously the Deputy Regent of Langkat, North Sumatra, Syah Afandin. Ondim, as Syah Afandin is known, emphasized that public services were not affected even though it was reported that Langkat Regent, Terbit Rencana Perangin Angin, had been arrested by the KPK team.

“God willing, it is the local government's obligation to serve the public. God willing, there will be no effect", said Deputy Regent of Langkat, Ondim, to VOI on Wednesday, January 19.

According to information received by Ondim, the house belonging to the Langkat Regent, Terbit Rencana Perangin Angin, was searched by the KPK team. But once again, Ondim emphasized that he did not know the details of the parties who were secured by the KPK in the OTT event in Langkat, North Sumatra.

Ondim admitted that he had not communicated with the Langkat Regent after the news of the KPK OTT emerged. The last communication between the Deputy Regent of Langkat with Terbit Rencana Perangin Angin was last night.
