KUPANG - The Kupang Police are investigating the discovery of 96 bullets and three magazines for the AK-47 assault rifle which were found by residents in Tuapukan village, Kupang district while fishing in Tuapukan River.

"Currently we are investigating where the bullets and magazines came from and the location where the bullets and megazens were found has been given a police line," said Kupang Police Chief, AKBP Aldinan Manurung, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 19.

The bullets and magazines that were found were rusty and were thought to have been in the Tuapukan River for a long time. The police have provided a police line at the location of the discovery to prevent residents from entering or avoiding potential explosives such as bombs.
