The 13th plenary session of the Indonesian Parliament took place on Tuesday, January 18 at the parliament building, Jakarta. In the plenary meeting, discussions about the Draft Law on the Crime of Sexual Violence (RUU TPKS) and the Draft Law on the State Capital (RUU IKN). Of the 9 factions, one disagreed, namely the PKS Faction. Interestingly, Puan Maharani as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives, more than once emphasized the question, approval of meetings related to the IKN Bill which was turned into a law. After the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas who represented President Jokowi read his statement, Puan Maharani again questioned the approval of the meeting participants regarding the passage of the IKN Bill into law. On this occasion, members of Commission V of the DPR RI from the PKS faction, expressed the reasons for their disagreement regarding the passage of the IKN Bill into law. Watch the full video below.
