ASN Is Suspected To Have Been Exposed To Omicron, The Central Jakarta Mayor's Office Citata Sub-Department Is On Lockdown

JAKARTA - A State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the Central Jakarta Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning and Land Sub-dept. (Sudin Citata) is suspected of being exposed to COVID-19.

From the information gathered, the ASN was exposed to COVID-19 with a new variant of the Omicron type. It is not known whether the ASN's position was exposed to COVID-19, whether from traveling outside the city or abroad.

Deputy Mayor of Central Jakarta, Irwandi confirmed the presence of ASN suspected of being confirmed positive for COVID-19 at the Central Jakarta City Government building.

In order to prevent the spread, the Citata Sub-Department office was closed for the next three days.

"Yes, there is a positive ASN for COVID-19. Earlier, the sub-dept. phoned me to provide this information," Irwandi told reporters, Tuesday, January 18.

Irwandi said his staff would not completely close the offices of the Central Jakarta City Government. Only the Citata Sub-Department's room will be closed for the next few days.

"There will not be a lockdown on one building, only the Citata Sub-Department room will be locked if there is positive information today. For the lockdown, the standard is 3 days, but we'll see later, Omicron in Jakarta is also going up, so we'll see first development," he said.

In order to anticipate the rate of transmission, he continued, the City Government will sterilize all building spaces by spraying disinfectant.
