Vulgar Pickpocketing In Pulogadung Terminal Area, Police Pursue Perpetrators Even Though Victims Have Not Made Reports

JAKARTA - East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono said that his party was still pursuing a man who had picked up a motorcycle rider near the Pulogadung terminal.

The police chief also said that the pickpocket video footage that went viral on social media was a clue for the Pulogadung Police to arrest the perpetrator.

"The police chief has investigated (investigation)," said Kombes Budi when contacted, Tuesday, January 18.

Regarding the incident, there has been no official report from the victim. However, the police are still pursuing him.

The pursuit of the alleged perpetrator was also carried out jointly by a team from the East Jakarta Police and the Pulogadung Police.

"The joint team of Polres and Polsek have investigated the perpetrators and are still pursuing them," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a motorcyclist in the Pulogadung Terminal Area became a victim of pickpocketing by a man. The action was caught on video which eventually circulated on Instagram.

It's sad, in the video, the perpetrators carry out their actions so vulgar. The perpetrator when he opened the victim's bag was so obvious to the public. But unfortunately there are no local residents who try to prevent it.
