JAKARTA - The Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, General TNI Andika Perkasa, held a meeting with the Central Commanders of the Military Police of the Army, Air Force and Navy as well as legal staff to discuss violations of military discipline laws that meet the elements of general crimes.

"The point is, if there has been use of violence, you cannot justify one party is right because there has been violence," said TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa via a YouTube channel monitored in Jakarta, Monday, January 17.

Quoted by Antara, the former Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) emphasized that if there were elements of violence committed by the officers, they would definitely be punished.

"If you have committed violence, you will definitely get hit. It is non-negotiable," he said.

The Commander stressed that every member of the TNI who is proven to have committed acts of violence and violated the law will be thoroughly investigated according to existing regulations.

This starts from the process of investigation, investigation, prosecution to trial in accordance with the use of applicable laws.

This step is intended to provide a deterrent effect for any TNI personnel who have violated the law for their actions.

"Investigations must be maximized so that the follow-up can also be maximized," he said.

Finally, the TNI Commander emphasized that he would thoroughly investigate and act decisively for any soldier who violates the law in accordance with applicable regulations.
