DENPASAR - The body of British foreigner Harper Matthew (48) has been autopsied at the Sanglah Central General Hospital (RSUP), Denpasar, Bali. As a result, stab wounds were found on the victim's body.

Forensic Clinic Consultant at Sanglah Hospital, doctor Ida Bagus Putu Alit, said that Harper Matthew's body was autopsied this morning.

"So we did the autopsy at 9. Then, what I can inform you is that there was indeed sharp violence against the victim. There were two stab wounds to the neck and three stab wounds to the stomach. One of these stab wounds to the stomach caused death due to cutting a blood vessel. big one," said Alit, Monday, January 17.

Meanwhile, to determine the cause of death requires a psychological focus examination and is still in the process of laboratory examination.

"The body is still here and the family who contacted it has not yet been to the hospital," he added.

In order to ascertain whether the cause of death was suicide or not, Alit emphasized that this was the domain of the police.

"So indeed, to determine it definitively, investigators have to. Because investigators have a crime scene and so on because they are looking for clues. However, judging from the pattern of the wound, it is most likely done alone. But for confirmation, it is from the investigator," he said.

Matt Harper Matteew was found dead at his residence in Denpasar Bali. It was originally called Harper's suicide.

However, British media reports, The Sun, informed that the victim died because he was allegedly murdered during a video call with his daughter in England.

Meanwhile, the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Bali Police, Kombes Surawan, explained that they were still conducting examinations and initial indications that the victim had committed suicide and not been killed.

"It's not a murder, we can't say it's a murder yet. The current suspicion is that it was suicide," said Surawan.
