Police Check Sukabumi Tourist Attractions Make Sure There Are No Violations Of The COVID-19 Prokes

JAKARTA - The Sukabumi City Police are conducting patrols by combing residents and tourists who violate health protocols (prokes) around tourist attractions in Sukabumi City, West Java, in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"The sweeping of residents and tourists who are traveling in various tourist objects is carried out in a humane way, such as giving warnings in the form of education and warnings to always apply health procedures when doing activities outside the home, especially crowded places to minimize the spread of COVID-19," said the Head of Samapta Polres. From observations at the location, several tourist locations became the focus of patrols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 carried out by Sukabumi Police personnel, such as the Cikundul swimming pool and hot spring tourism object on Jalan Merdeka, Cikundul Village, Lembursitu District.

At this location, police personnel monitor and warn residents to apply health procedures and not to ignore safety signs during activities at tourist attractions.

According to Agus, at that location, there were still many tourists who did not apply the health procedures and his party immediately educated and provided masks for residents and tourists who did not wear the personal protective equipment.

He also asked the tourist attraction managers to be firm with tourists who want to enter tourist objects but do not apply procedures, because tourist attractions are one of the locations most prone to the spread of this deadly virus.

In the same place, Head of Public Relations of the Sukabumi City Police, Iptu Astuti, added that apart from having to implement health procedures during their trip, tourists were also advised, especially parents, to protect their sons and daughters from unwanted things and obey signs and security officers at tourist attractions.

Then, another thing to pay attention to is tourists not to wear flashy jewelry and guard their valuables in anticipation of theft. His party has also deployed and alerted police personnel to provide security at tourist sites.

"Patrol by visiting tourist objects in the jurisdiction of the Sukabumi City Police to provide a sense of security and comfort to tourists who are spending their weekends with family and colleagues," he added.

Astuti said that the security patrols as well as the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 were not only in tourist locations but also in the center of crowds of residents and areas prone to crime cases.
