The head of Navy staff Admiral Yudo Goes To Arsenal Batu Poron To Check Military Strength To Protect Indonesian Seas

JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL), Admiral Yudo Margono, inspected the Arsenal (Arsenal of Armed Forces of the Navy) in Batu Poron, Madura, East Java, Thursday, to ensure the strength of the Navy to maintain the security of the sea area.

"Direct checks at Batu Poron are a form of the KSAL's commitment to building the strength and readiness of the Navy's operations," said the Information Service of the Indonesian Navy, quoted from a press release, Jakarta, January 13, as reported by Antara.

The KSAL Admiral Yudo visited Arsenal Batu Poron using KAL Bawean. At the location, the arrival of KSAL Admiral Yudo was welcomed by Asrenal KSAL Admiral TNI Abdul Rasyid K., Personnel Assistant (Aspers) KSAL Admiral TNI Irwan Achmadi, Logistics Assistant (Aslog) KSAL Admiral TNI Puguh Santoso, Commander of the Armed Forces II Admiral TNI Iwan Isnurwanto, Kadissenlekal Rear Admiral TNI Endarto Pantja, and Danlantamals V Admiral Suryono Hadi.

The ranks of soldiers who served at Arsenal Batu Poron also welcomed the arrival of Admiral Yudo by wearing Madurese Pesean traditional clothes. Some of them demonstrated Joko Tole's pencak silat which is typical Madurese self-defense.

At Arsenal Batu Poron, Yudo also received explanations and reports from his staff.

"Admiral Yudo and his entourage visited the facilities at Arsenal to find out the real conditions and the security system so they can plan improvements and additions to infrastructure in the future," explained the Navy Information Service.

The KSAL Admiral Yudo on the same occasion also directly inspected the condition of the Batu Poron Lanal Command Headquarters, which is located in the same area as the Batu Poron Mako Arsenal.

After directly checking the condition of the headquarters and the facilities inside, Yudo closed his activities by taking pictures with his staff in front of the Batu Poron Arsenal Monument.

Yudo on various occasions conveyed his commitment to continue to build various facilities needed by Indonesian Navy soldiers to support improving welfare and carrying out their duties.

Therefore, he routinely travels to various regions in the country to directly inspect the facilities and infrastructure owned by the Indonesian Navy. Direct checks can provide information about facilities that need to be repaired, and their capacity increased.
