BOGOR – A motorcyclist died after undergoing treatment at the hospital due to stab wounds to the temples of the face and chest. The stabbing incident occurred on Jalan Raya Cibanteng, Ciampea District, Bogor Regency, Thursday, January 13.

Ciampea Police Chief Kompol Beben when contacted said that at that time the victim was driving a motorbike from Dramaga to Leuwiliang this afternoon (Thursday 13 January). On the way, the victim's motorbike was overtaken by a suspect with the initials F (38).

"The suspect overtook the victim's motorbike. The victim was offended and kept cursing the suspect. The suspect continued his journey, but was chased by the victim," explained Beben, Thursday, January 13.

After the chase, the perpetrator and the victim stopped on the side of the road. The victim got out of his motorbike and approached the suspect while hitting the perpetrator.

"The suspect (after being beaten) then got down from his motorbike and took a knife that was stored behind the motorbike seat. The knife was stabbed into the victim, hitting the head, side (temple), and chest," explained Beben.

The perpetrator was finally caught by local residents. The victim who was lying on the side of the road was immediately helped by residents and rushed him to the Karya Bakti Pertiwi Hospital. Shortly after, the victim was declared dead.

"Until now, news from the hospital the victim died," continued the police chief.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been detained by the police for legal proceedings.

Beben continued, based on the suspect's confession, at that time he wanted to sell bags.

"According to the suspect, he wants to sell bags in Leuwiliang. If the victim wants to go home from work, it's because he's a security victim," said Beben.
