COVID-19 Update As Of January 13: New Cases 793, Active Cases 7,388

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 278,266 specimens were examined with the result that there were 793 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,268,890 and active cases are 7,388," said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, January 13.

Today's recovered cases increased by 385 cases, bringing the total to 4,117,347 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 5 people and the total was 144,155 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 478 cases and a total of 869,089 cases. Followed by West Java with 89 new cases with a total of 709,293 cases. Banten has 54 new cases and a total of 133,154 cases. Then, Bali with 26 new cases and a total of 144,471 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 294 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 15 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 12 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 11 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 66,615,011.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.19 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,193 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 173,248,256 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 118,488,929 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 1,333,610. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
