MAKASSAR - A farmer from Nanggala Sangpiak Salu Village, Naggala Subdistrict, North Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi, received a car as a prize in the South Sulawesi Fast Vaccination Prize Festival.
Acting Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman handed over a car gift to a farmer from North Toraja named Amos Mili (48) at the South Sulawesi Governor's Office in Makassar City.
Amos received the first injection of the COVID-19 vaccine on October 14, 2021 at the Nanggala Health Center and underwent a second dose of vaccination on December 29, 2021 at the same puskesmas.
Amos had to travel about three kilometers to get to the puskesmas to undergo the COVID-19 vaccination.
He was grateful to get a car gift from the government.
"Thanks to the Governor of South Sulawesi for the gift of the car. I didn't expect that I would get this grand prize," said Amos, who wore a batik shirt, jeans and flip-flops at the award ceremony, quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 13.
"I got information from neighbors (if I won the prize). I didn't believe it, but Alhamdulillah it was sustenance. When I was vaccinated, I didn't know that there would be a lottery," he said.
