KPK Seals Regent's Office House And Penajam Regency Government Office Room

PENAJAM - The office of the Regent of North Penajam Paser and a number of office spaces within the local district government have been sealed by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Antara's observation at Penajam, Thursday, January 13, the door to the Office of the Regent of North Penajam Paser which is located on Jalan Unocal, Penajam Village, Penajam District, appears to be affixed with a red and black seal with the words KPK written on it.

A number of rooms in the North Penajam Paser Regional Secretariat Office were also fitted with the red and black seal, namely the corridor door leading to the regent's office and the door to the regional secretary's office.

The office of the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) of North Penajam Paser Regency was also sealed by the KPK.

According to information obtained, the sealing was carried out after the KPK conducted an OTT (hand arrest operation) in North Penajam Paser Regency, Wednesday, January 12.

Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, said that the OTT in North Penajam Paser Regency was related to the alleged receipt of bribes and or gratuities.

Meanwhile, until now, there has been no official from the North Penajam Paser Regency Government to provide information regarding the sealing carried out by the KPK.

The atmosphere at the Office of the Regent of North Penajam Paser and in a number of rooms sealed by the KPK seemed deserted.

The KPK arrested the Regent of North Penajam Paser along with 10 other people in the OTT.

However, the KPK has not conveyed in detail the 10 other people who were also arrested, because they are still conducting investigations.

According to the Criminal Code or the Criminal Code, the KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the status of the parties who have been arrested.
