Steady Golkar Will Promote Tangerang Regent Ahmed Zaki Iskandar For The 2024 DKI Regional Head Elections

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party has opened its vote regarding the stock exchange for the candidate for the Governor of DKI which will be carried in the upcoming 2024 DKI Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

The chairman of the Golkar faction of the DKI DPRD, Basri Baco, revealed that the plan to nominate the chairman of the DPD Golkar Jakarta in the DKI gubernatorial election had been decided in a regional meeting of the DKI Golkar.

"When it comes to Pilkada, Golkar is definitely the decision of the Musda. It has become the decision of the Musda that we will support the Chairman of the DPD, Mr. Ahmed Zaki Iskandar," Baco told reporters, Wednesday, January 12.

Then, regarding who the figure will carry as a candidate for Deputy Governor of DKI accompanying Zaki, Baco said that there has been no decision. "His partner will see developments later," he said.

Likewise with communication to other parties. Baco admitted that Golkar had not yet discussed the coalition of parties that would join in carrying out their chosen candidate for governor of DKI.

So far, there have been a number of parties that have trumpeted the names of the candidates for the governor of DKI. Gerindra admits that it has a choice, namely the former Mayor of South Tangerang, Airin Rachmi Diany; DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan; Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria; Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia; to the chairman of the Gerindra faction of the DKI DPRD, Rani Mauliani.

Then, Nasdem had a choice of three cadres to carry, namely the Head of Health Okky Asokawati, General Treasurer Ahmad Sahroni, and the Regional Secretary of the Nasdem DPW DKI Wibi Andrino.

Then, PDIP also looked at Social Minister Tri Rismaharini and Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka as potential candidates for DKI Governor. The name Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok was also briefly discussed in the cagub exchange.

Furthermore, PKS and PSI have not yet announced their names, but they admit that they will carry their own cadres. Meanwhile, PKB has not thought about the contestation for the DKI Pilgub.
