JAKARTA - Declarator and Presidium of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE), Din Syamsuddin, emphasized that he did not want to serve non-substantive reactions to the declared coalition of actions.

"Regarding non-substantive reactions, both from the elite, let alone paid 'buzzers', WE do not want to serve because this does not reflect the intelligence of the nation's life as mandated by the constitution," said Din, in a written statement, reported by Antara, Jakarta, Thursday.

According to Din Syamsuddin, WE proposed critical and corrective thoughts on the life of the nation and state that deviated from Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

Therefore, Din questioned if what they conveyed was not responded to in content, but instead avoided attacking personally and tended to divert opinion.

At least, said the former chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, WE have asked two questions to the government and other state officials to be answered.

First, the question of the political oligarchy which makes political party decisions is determined by a handful of people and finally controlling the DPR, which neglects people's aspirations. Second, the political culture of the dynasty that prevents people who are actually of higher quality from advancing as leaders.

"There are still many more fundamental substantive questions, but in the meantime there are two," said Din.

Once again, Din said that WE are waiting for a response, not a diversion. "WE are ready to discuss, even debate, brainstorming thoughts," said Din Syamsuddin.

Previously, Din mentioned at least 150 figures who have joined the US which was declared on 18 August.

Among the 150 figures, namely Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, former TNI Commander General (ret) Gatot Nurmantyo, former Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Rizal Ramli, former Forestry Minister MS Ka'ban, and FPI General Chairperson Sobri Lubis.

Din emphasized that the coalition was very plural, consisting of members from various ethnicities, religions, professions and generations.

Regarding the reasons for declaring the coalition of actions, Din explained that there were similarities in thoughts and views in the life of the Indonesian state which had recently deviated from the national ideals and basic values agreed upon by the founders of the nation.
