Obscene Shaman In Sanggau West Kalimantan Arrested By Police

PONTINAK - The Sanggau Police Criminal Investigation Unit team in West Kalimantan, arrested ST (58) a lewd shaman who also works as a security guard at a private company in Kembayan District, Sanggau.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Tri Prasertyo, said that the suspect was arrested to account for his actions because he was suspected of having committed immorality to three of his patients, who were still minors.

He explained that the chronology began on December 17, 2021, where the victim's father intended to seek treatment from the perpetrator while bringing his two children and a grandson as well as asking for an amulet to prevent harm and health.

"But according to the perpetrator, according to the victim's confession, the victim had to take off his pants and use a sarong when attaching the amulet, that's when the perpetrator carried out his act of molesting the victim," he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, January 10.

The Criminal Investigation Unit revealed that the three victims with the initials M, F and T cried after the amulets were installed by the perpetrator, and all three admitted to their mother that they had been raped by the psychic.

Upon this incident, the victim's father immediately reported the incident to the Kembayan Police and then the Kembayan Police immediately arrested the perpetrator.

"Currently, we have arrested the perpetrators and threatened them with regard to Law No. 35/2014 concerning Child Protection, that threats against sexual offenders against children are punishable by a minimum of five years of legal sanctions, and a maximum of 15 years in prison," he said.

The police appealed to the public not to be easily deceived by a shaman or other, so they do not become victims of crime, such as by the obscene shaman.
