He explained, based on the data he had, from 2017 to 2020, cases of violence against women and children in Aceh had decreased. In 2017, there were 1,792 cases.

Then in 2018 there were 1,376 cases, in 2019 there were 1,067 cases, and in 2020 there were 905 cases.

"Meanwhile, as of September 2021, there were 723 cases," said Amrina Habibie.

He added that cases of violence were still at a high level because there could be many cases that were not reported, especially those that occurred in families.

Amrina Habibie explained that more intense prevention efforts were needed, such as finding the root cause of violence in the home or family, school and community environment.
