Lost Fisherman Found On Shoes Island Nusa Penida Bali

KANGASEM - A fisherman who had been missing while at sea was finally found in the south of Shoes Island, Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency, Bali.

A fisherman named Nyoman Sudi (36) was found safe. He was initially reported missing while at sea in the waters of Labuan Amuk, Karangasem Regency, Bali, on Sunday 9 January afternoon.

"Local fishermen saw the target with their boat bobbing in the ocean at around 08.35 WITA," said Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office or Basarnas Bali Gede Darmada, Monday, January 10.

According to Nyoman Sudi's statement, at that time the jukung boat ran out of fuel and was carried away by the current so that it could not return to land.

"After receiving the report of the discovery of the missing fisherman, we immediately moved personnel from the Nusa Penida SAR Alert Unit using RIB to the location," he added.

"After refueling, Nyoman Sudi continued to go to sea with the destination of Pengalon Village, Karangasem. In order to ensure safety, our RIB continues to monitor and there is also one other jukung to assist the evacuation process," said Darmada.
