Are You CASN? Be Careful There Are Fake Letters For The Appointment Of Teachers, There Are Already Victims

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) appealed to the public, especially CPNS (Civil Civil Service Candidates) aka CASN (State Civil Apparatus Candidates) to be aware of fake letters bearing the name of the PANRB Minister. Fake letters that are currently circulating contain the appointment of honorary teachers aged more than 35 years to fill the vacancy needs.

Plt. The Head of the Legal, Communication and Public Information Bureau of the PANRB Ministry, Mohammad Averrouce, explained that the PANRB Ministry had never issued the letter. "It has been confirmed that the letter is fake," he said in Jakarta, Sunday, January 9.

In the circulating letter there is a letterhead and letter number resembling the original letter issued by the Minister of PANRB. The fake letter was addressed to Central and Regional Civil Service Supervisory Officers. The letter is numbered B/1552/5.5M.01.00/2022 and in writing signed by the Minister of PANRB on January 3, 2022 regarding the appointment of honorary teachers for ASN needs in 2022.

Averrouce said that several times he found fake letters similar to the same case, namely the appointment of temporary workers. This fake letter said that there was still an empty quota in the 2021 CASN selection that had to be fulfilled. With this vacancy, it is as if the Minister of PANRB is providing an opportunity for teachers who are more than 35 years old to be appointed as Government Employees with a Work Agreement (PPPK).

It was also written that the recommendation for this appointment was followed up by the Central BKN. The letter also stated to confirm to the Procurement and Ranking of the Central BKN PNS on behalf of Drs. Satya Pratama, S. Sos with Whatsapp number 0823-37805109.

There is a time and place written in the letter, namely Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at 09.00 WIB at the Commission X DPR Meeting Room, Senayan Jakarta, for the appointment of honorary staff aged 35 years and over.

Averrouce said that if there is a letter issued by a government agency, the public needs to look at it carefully, starting from the writing of the contents of the letter which must comply with the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI), which stands for the name of the institution/minister which must be correct, and also the neatness of writing. "Even in the letter it was wrong to write the abbreviation of the Minister of PANRB. It was written by the Minister of State Civil Apparatus and Reformation," he explained.

He appealed to the public to be careful if they received information related to the appointment of ASN and confirmed the truth to the PANRB Ministry if they found something similar. "We hope that the public will always be vigilant and confirm the truth of the information circulating through the official website of the relevant government agency or ask the Ministry of PANRB for the truth," he said.

Furthermore, Averrouce stated that the 2022 CASN procurement process will be informed after the 2021 CASN procurement process for both CPNS and PPPK (Teacher and Non-Teacher Functional Positions) has been completed. As is known, the PPPK selection process for Functional Teacher Positions has just entered stage 2 of the 3 stages that will be carried out.
