North Sumatra Police Chief Inaugurates Airud Fast Patrol Ship

MEDAN - North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak inaugurated the operation of the North Sumatra Police Polairud Rapid Patrol Vessel in the Lake Toba area.

The North Sumatra Police Chief said the inauguration of the North Sumatra Police Polairud Rapid Patrol Ship to support super priority tourist destinations in the Lake Toba area.

"The presence of this fast patrol boat is to provide services for the people of North Sumatra and to support the security of tourists while on vacation to Lake Toba and to protect the waters," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, January 7.

Panca said the operation of a fast patrol boat in collaboration with the Indonesian Navy will provide a sense of security and comfort to the community.

"The inauguration of this fast patrol boat is to answer the dynamics of security and social order in the waters to build synergy with the TNI and the community," he said.

Inspector General Panca said the North Sumatra Police had placed the tourism police at tourist attractions in the Lake Toba area, which covers eight districts.

In fact, the North Sumatra Police have built the Ajibata Tourism Police Post, a helipad, added facilities and other infrastructure in the Lake Toba area.

"It is hoped that with the establishment of a strong security system in the waters, it can increase tourist visits to Lake Toba so that they feel safe and comfortable without any disturbances," he said.
