Receive A Decree From The Ministry Of Law And Human Rights, Perkasa Party Is Ready To Participate In The 2024 Election

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Village Awakening Movement Party (Perkasa) Eko S. Santjojo stated that he is ready to take part in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

This was conveyed by Eko after receiving a Decree (SK) from the Directorate General of General Legal Administration, Ministry of Law and Security as a political party with a legal entity.

Eko explained that the Perkasa Party was originally called the Pioneer Party. Through the decision of the Pioneer Party Congress which was held on October 9, 2021 in Jakarta, the Pioneer Party officially changed its name to the Perkasa Party.

"Initially the Pioneer Party used to be the Pioneer Party, we have participated in the general election twice, then now we have reactivated it but by changing to the Perkasa Party," said Eko as quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 6.

Eko hopes that his party can qualify to participate in the 2024 general election. The initial target is to participate in the 2024 Legislative Election (Pileg).

"Alhamdulillah, we have received a SK endorsement from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Then we will prepare to enter P4, election participants to go to the KPU," said Eko.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the High Council of the Perkasa Party, Bonny Z Minang, emphasized that the presence of the Perkasa Party would be one of the political instruments that focus on the interests of the village.

According to him, the existence of villages is often marginalized, and even only becomes the object of exploitation for certain political interests. For this reason, the presence of this party can be a political tool for the sons and daughters of the village.

"We're not making a party for us. Opening up, yes, facilities for the best sons and daughters of the village. To be able to sit on the people's representative council through the election mechanism, of course, you must have a party," explained Bonny.

According to him, when the sons and daughters of the village sit in the DPR, it will be easier to oversee development programs and the village economy.

The composition of the Perkasa Party DPN management includes the Chairman of the Upper House Bonny Z Minang, General Chairperson Eko S Sancoyo, Deputy General Chairperson Sudir Santoso, Secretary General Ristiyanto and General Treasurer Reinhart T Rusli.
