Joining Party School, Gibran Studied At Risma On UMKM Problems

JAKARTA - As many as 129 regional head candidates from the PDI Perjuangan including the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the prospective candidate for mayor of Solo have completed the Class I Party School for Regional Head Candidates.

In the five-day activity, Gibran admitted that he got a lot of knowledge from a number of regional heads, including the Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini.

"During the past five days, all Party school participants have absorbed the knowledge from the speakers, especially the regional heads with achievements such as Pak Ganjar, Pak Anas (Abdullah Azwar Anas) Pak Hendy (Hendrar Prihari), Mrs. Risma (Tri Rismaharini) and the last resource person, Mr. (Juliari Batubara), "said Gibran in a written statement, Wednesday, August 26.

Gibran said that he attended the party school seriously because all of its substances were useful as provisions for the regional head candidates from the PDIP.

He said, every time a resource person provides material, there are always questions and answers. At that moment, according to Gibran, the excitement at the party school took place. He also admitted that he had studied with Risma regarding UMKM in the question and answer session.

"Yesterday I asked Mrs. Risma about the UMKM problem, then yesterday to Mas Putra Nababan I asked about social media. So yes, she has a lot of knowledge," he said.

After attending party school, Gibran emphasized that he would go straight to the community. This is because while attending the party school for five days since Friday, August 21, he cannot carry out campaign activities due to the tightness of activity.

"Yesterday we had five days of party school, we automatically stopped all activities. Tomorrow, we will start again from morning to night. After that, we have to gaspol again," he said.

Later, he will carry out a consolidation, blusukan, and meeting which will be held behind closed doors. "The timing is very tight, yes. Must be gaspol. Next Friday we have registered, we only have a few months left, two months or so until December 9," he said.

It is known, the party school for PDIP regional head candidates was officially opened on the first day of Friday, August 21 by Megawati Soekarnoputri, Chair of the PDIP Perjuangan. Resource persons in party schools are not only regional heads and party elites but also academics and professionals.

Secretary General of the PDIP DPP Hasto Kristiyanto said that the implementation of this party school became the institutional strengthening of political institutions in preparing prospective leaders to be elected by the community, followed by an awareness that partying must be based on discipline. The goal, so that in the party, is able to organize the people's power as well as possible.

"Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri appreciates the discipline of the candidates for regional head. Because the requirements to become a leader require humility. Including participating and being active in party schools," said Hasto.

With party schools, continued Hasto, solidarity and enthusiasm for learning from one another is built. Regional head candidates also learned about the election winning strategy and how to invite people to go to the polling stations. "This party school is only the beginning of the process. The battlefields are actually in their respective regions," he said.
