Police Move Quickly, Case Of Ferdinand Hutahaean 'Your God Is Weak' Rises Investigation

JAKARTA - The Bareksrim Polri has decided to increase the status of cases of alleged spreading hoaxes or blasphemy by Ferdinand Hutahaean from investigation to investigation. That way, the police will identify the suspect in this case.

"Decided to raise the case from an investigation to an investigation," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Thursday, January 6.

The increase in the status of this case, continued Ramadhan, was based on the results of the examination of 10 witnesses and experts. From the examination, investigators believe that a crime has occurred.

"There are a total of 10 witnesses, 5 witnesses and 5 expert witnesses. The expert witnesses consist of a language witness, a sociology witness, a criminal expert witness. Then a religious expert witness and an ITE expert witness," said Ramadhan.

"Then after examining several witnesses and expert witnesses, the investigation team of the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit conducted a case," he continued.

After the status of the case was upgraded to investigation, the team of investigators immediately sent a Notice of Commencement of Investigation (SPDP) to the Attorney General's Office. However, in this case, Ferdinand Hutahaean is still a witness.

"Investigators from the Cyber Crime Directorate of the National Police have issued an SPDP or notification letter for the start of the investigation and it has been sent to the Attorney General's Office," he said.

Meanwhile, Ferdinand Hutahaean was reported on suspicion of spreading hoaxes or blasphemy to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The report follows his tweet on his Twitter account @FerdinandHaean3 about Allahmu Weak'.

Ferdinand is suspected of violating Article 45 a paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph 2, Law 11 of 2008 concerning ITE, and Article 14 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.
