Police Hunt Abandoned Robbers Who Injure Their Victims Until Their Hands Are Cut Off In Kudus

KUDUS - The Kudus Police Team, Central Java, is still hunting for the robber who injured his victim with a sharp weapon at the Taman Bumi Wangi complex in Jekulo Village, Jekulo District.

"Until now, we are still conducting an investigation to arrest the perpetrators who are suspected to be four people. Meanwhile, the victim with the initials MIS (23) who is a resident of Mejobo Village, Mejobo District, Kudus is still undergoing treatment for injuries," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kudus Police AKP Agustinus David P. quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 6.

The robbery occurred when the victim was about to take a walk in the Taman Bumi Wangi area on Jalan Kudus-Pati on Thursday, January 6 at 02.00 WIB. The victim was then approached by four perpetrators riding two motorbikes.

Two perpetrators allegedly carrying sharp weapons forced them to ask for the ignition key of the victim's motorbike and ask for the victim's cellphone. The perpetrator also injured his victim with a sharp weapon that hit his left hand, arm and left back.

The victim was helped by local residents and the incident was reported to the Jekulo Police. Meanwhile, the victim was rushed to the Kudus Hospital for treatment due to his severed left hand, a torn right arm and a torn left back.

The victim suffered a loss of Rp. 1 million due to his cell phone being taken away by the perpetrator.

He appealed to the public to be vigilant and not to go out at night, especially during crime-prone hours.

Maslikan, the parking attendant for Taman Bumi Wangi, admitted that he heard the perpetrators asking for the victim's cell phone. However, when he arrived at the scene, he saw the victim was injured, his left hand was severed due to a sharp weapon.

"The victim also asked for help to secure his motorcycle," he said.
