Street Sweeper's Son Got 0 Score During Test, DPD Chair Asks AGO To Give An Explanation

JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPD RI, AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, asked the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) to provide an explanation regarding the results of the psychological tests and medical tests that Ghufron, the son of a street sweeper in Surabaya, received a zero score.

According to LaNyalla, the zero score obtained by the 24-year-old raises a question mark. Whether the data entry is incorrect or correct the value is zero. Meanwhile, the person concerned has comparative data, and includes a graduate with a high GPA.

"I think the Attorney General's Office should provide a transparent explanation of the results of the psychological test scores and medical tests that Ghufron underwent. Why did he get a zero score and what are the indicators," LaNyalla said in an electronic message received in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 5.

The AGO's explanation of the value obtained by Ghufron is very important so that there is no negative perception in the acceptance of prospective prosecutors. Because, continued the East Java legislator, the news has become a public conversation, especially in Surabaya.

"I think the explanation is important so that the public does not suspect that there are bad ways in accepting prospective prosecutors in the AGO," he said.

Moreover, as an institution that represents the public interest in court cases, it must prioritize the principle of propriety in the selection of prospective prosecutors.

"If we pay close attention to the chronology presented by Ghufron, he has passed the psychological test and medical tests with good results. So, is there another assessment from the AGO so that he gets a zero score, let's wait for an explanation," said LaNyalla.

As is known, Ghufron scored zero in psychological tests and medical tests. As a result, he was declared Unqualified (TMS) by the Prosecutor's Office of Personnel Bureau, last Thursday, December 30.

When Ghufron underwent a medical test for the Prosecutor's Decree at the Level III Hospital in Brawijaya, he admitted that he was in good condition without a record.

“I ended up doing a personal test as a comparison. Both health tests and psychological tests. The results are all normal and eligible. And I sent the data to the Indonesian Attorney General's Office through an open letter,” said the winner of the Bidik Misi scholarship.

Ghufron's name was declared to have failed because he did not meet one of the requirements in one/several stages of the SKB required by the agency and the National Committee. He got a score of 0 for psychological tests and medical tests.

"Of the 2,013 people who formed the prospective prosecutor's office, there were 1,200 who were declared ineligible (TMS). 196 people did not qualify and 671 people were taken. Well, my score is 61, 822. If I put it into the 671 people who passed, I'm still in the 260s. Surprisingly again, there were about 405 people whose scores were below mine and even passed," explained Ghufron.
