Kopo Bandung Flyover Targeted To Be Completed Before Lebaran 2022

BANDUNG - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) stated that the flyover or Kopo flyover that stretches on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta from Cibaduyut to Caringin is expected to be completed before Eid Al-Fitr 2022.

The Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, said that by early 2022 the construction process had reached 70 percent. Therefore he believes the flyover can be activated immediately.

"The Kopo flyover is targeted for April before Lebaran can be used," said Yana in Bandung, West Java, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 5.

According to him, the construction of the flyover was carried out to relieve congestion at the Kopo-Soekarno Hatta intersection area. The reason is that the route is often crowded with vehicles from Bandung Regency to Bandung City.

In addition, according to him, the Bandung City Government will also start building flyovers in the Buahbatu area, starting from before the Kiaracondong Intersection to after the Buahbatu Intersection.

"The Kiaracondong Samsat Corridor is the same as Jalan Buahbatu, two intersections are passed, only the distribution of land is still in progress. This year's Kopo is finished," he said.

Currently in the Cibaduyut to Caringin area, there is still time to experience traffic congestion due to the construction of the Kopo flyover.

Although there are a number of developments, according to him, in 2022 the Bandung City Government will also remain focused on carrying out economic recovery due to the pandemic.
