Joining PAN, Charly Van Houten Is Considered To Meet The Requirements For Popularity

JAKARTA - The vocalist of the band Setiaku or previously ST12, Charly Van Houten has joined as a cadre of the National Mandate Party (PAN).

Young PAN Spokesperson, Dimas Prakoso Akbar, said that Charly fulfills one of the conditions in the political contest, namely popularity.

"Besides that, Charly also has a high commitment to fighting for her ideals. So that PAN as an open political party provides a platform for Charly to actualize the values she stands for," said Dimas to reporters, Tuesday, January 4.

Charly is also confirmed to be running as a PAN legislative candidate in the upcoming 2024 election. Even Dimas said, it is a must.

"Because to realize the values he stands for, of course it will be more effective and maximal if Charly has a seat in parliament," said Dimas.

"In addition to the popularity of PAN, it also continues to guide so that Charly's popularity is converted into qualified and electability candidates," he concluded.

Previously, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan launched an open recruitment program for legislative candidates organized by the Cirebon City PAN DPD, Monday, January 3.

Zulhas then announced that Charly would run from the West Java VIII Dapil which includes Cirebon City, Cirebon Regency, and Indramayu Regency.

Regarding readiness as a legislative candidate, Charly said he was grateful and also ready to carry out the mandate.

"I am grateful because this is the general chairman's order. I am ready to do my best," said Charly.
