JAKARTA - The video of a boy being fed with liquor (alcohol) to fall several times has gone viral on social media. Two people who gave alcohol to the boy were arrested by the police.

"We have arrested two perpetrators of giving alcohol to young children," said the Head of the East Luwu Police, South Sulawesi, AKBP Indratmoko when contacted by VOI, Monday, August 24.

Two perpetrators who fed the child with alcohol with the initials FE and RH. The two were arrested on Sunday, 23 August in Pekaloa, Towuti, East Luwu.

From the interim examination, the two perpetrators admitted their actions. The boy is fed with alcohol while his parents are out gardening.

"When the perpetrator was drinking red wine, the victim came over and was given it so he got drunk and fell several times," said Indratmoko.

According to him, the perpetrator filmed the boy who was drunk and fell several times. This video was also distributed to the WhatsApp group until it finally went viral on social media.

"From there we observe the pictures, then our members recognize the faces of the perpetrators because they have been examined for other cases. After identification, we made arrests, "continued Indratmoko.

The two perpetrators were charged under Article 77 letter b, Article 76 letter b, Article 89 paragraph 2 of the Child Protection Law. The police also imposed an article on the Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) Law because of the distribution of videos.

From the video circulating, this boy was fed three glasses of alcohol. After that, this boy wobbled and fell several times.
