Doctors From Jakarta Involved In Malpractice, Injecting Diazepam And Midazolam Into The Patient's Body To Death

CIANJUR - Cianjur Police, West Java arrested a doctor from Jakarta for possession of psychotropic substances without permission and malpractice, causing the patient to die.

Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Doni Hermawan said the doctor initials LC was known to inject psychotropic substances into the patient's body to neutralize drugs. Departing from the report from the Cimacan Hospital, investigators then made an arrest.

"LC was arrested starting from information that a Jakarta resident who was being treated at the Cimacan Hospital died, allegedly because a doctor had injected several psychotropic substances to neutralize the drugs consumed by the victim," Doni said in Cianjur as reported by Antara, Thursday, December 30.

The results of the officer's investigation, the victim was injected with liquid drugs Diazepam and Midazolam by LC. This practice has been carried out several times by LC on his regular patients.

Cianjur Police Narcotics Head AKP Ali Jupri added that LC has now been detained. During the officer's examination, it was discovered that the person concerned was a general practitioner, not a specialist.

"We secured evidence in the form of two bottles of Diazepam and Midazolam, the suspect will be charged with Article 62 of Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics with a threat of five years in prison," he also said.

Previously, RSUD Cimacan received patients who were tourists who were enjoying their vacation in the Cipanas area. The patient came in an unconscious condition, allegedly after receiving a psychotropic injection which was known to have been given by the suspect.

Officers who received the report, immediately carried out developments and arrested the suspect in Jakarta. Furthermore, the suspect was immediately brought to the Cianjur Police Headquarters, to be held accountable for his actions.
