Police Arrange Crime Scene To Find Cause Of AGO Building Fire

JAKARTA - The police held a fire incident at the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung), Monday, August 24. This was done in order to find the cause of the fire.

"This morning at 09.00 WIB we conducted a TKP to find the cause of the fire," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to VOI, Monday, August 24.

Yusri said, if this TKP was done, his party had already asked 19 people for information. They are all internally from the Attorney General's Office.

"(Those who were asked for information from, red) Security, OB and leaders of the floor that caught fire," he said.

Meanwhile, the investigation has not yet led to people outside of the AGO. Because, the police first focused on finding the cause of the fire.

"Not yet. Want to find out what caused the fire first," said Yusri.

Previously, the Adhyaksa Corps Building caught fire on Saturday, August 22 at 19.10 WIB. It is suspected that the fire came from the third floor. However, it is not certain what caused the fire to appear.

After burning for almost 12 hours, the fire finally went out at around 06.28 WIB. It took 65 fire engines including two Bronto Skylift units deployed to extinguish the fire. There were no fatalities in this incident.

As for the renovation of this building, it will be submitted directly to the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta. This is because this building is included in a protected cultural heritage building.
