JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Police together with partners again held a mural competition for the second volume, named the Safari Bhayangkara Mural, which took place in BSD Tangerang, for two days, 29-30 December 2021.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said the Safari Bhayangkara Mural was in order to provide a forum for expression for the community.

"The Indonesian National Police certainly welcomes the mural competition to provide space for freedom of expression and opinion from the public," said Dedi, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 29.

Previously, the National Police had organized the 2021 National Police Chief Cup Mural Festival Bhayangkara at the end of last October, the activity received a response with many participants taking part in the competition.

The mural competition was motivated by the removal of the murals "404:Not Found" and "Forced to be healthy in a sick country" by Polri personnel some time ago.

According to Dedi, the mural festival is to prove that the Bhayangkara Corps is an institution that is not anti-critical.

"From the start, the National Police Chief has conveyed that the National Police is not an anti-criticism institution. In fact, criticism must be used as an evaluation towards a much better organization and is increasingly loved by the community," said Dedi.

The purpose of this second volume of mural competition is to appreciate the winners of the Bhayangkara Mural Festival of the National Police Cup 2021. Therefore, Tempo Media Group in collaboration with the National Police Headquarters held a continuation program of the mural competition directly in public spaces.
