JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated 18 Bhayangkara Corps officers. Seven of them became Inspector General (Irjen) and 11 Brigadier General (Brigjen).

"The National Police Chief has received promotions to seven Polri officers from Brigadier General to Inspector General. Then there are 11 from Kombes rank to Brigadier General," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono to reporters, Wednesday, December 29.

During the inauguration, the National Police Chief also emphasized several things. Starting from vaccine acceleration to mandatory activities in 2022.

Vaccination acceleration must continue because Indonesia is still in a COVID-19 pandemic situation. Moreover, the Omicron variant has entered Indonesia and has infected 47 people.

"The National Police Chief emphasized that we are first approaching the new year, of course this new year is still in a pandemic situation, especially now that we are paying attention to the Omicron virus itself," said Rusdi.

"The National Police Chief has emphasized acceleration rather than national vaccination, the 70 percent target that has been achieved by several regions can be an example from several other regions, there is still time so that the national vaccination target can be achieved by each region," he continued.

Then, the National Police Chief also asked his staff to be swift in dealing with natural disasters. Thus, disaster victims will be helped quickly. On the other hand, it is also emphasized that their staff should handle political problems properly. Because, it is a sensitive issue but still must be addressed.

"The National Police Chief emphasizes future problems, political problems are increasing, politics continues to run on the other side, hopefully the security and social security situation can be controlled as well as possible," said Rusdi

Lastly, the National Police Chief emphasized investment issues. All ranks of the National Police are expected to be a part of the national economic recovery.

"Police steps forward can provide cool information related to investment in the country, in order to avoid behavior or tasks carried out in the field that will hinder investment itself," said Rusdi.
