Tjahjo Kumolo Invites ASN To Join Komcad: During Training Get Pocket Money

JAKARTA - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Tjahjo Kumolo invited the state civil apparatus (ASN) to join the Reserve Component (Komcad).

This is stated in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Number 27 of 2021 concerning the Participation of State Civil Apparatus Employees as Reserve Components in Supporting National Defense Efforts.

"The government through the Ministry of Defense opens up opportunities for Indonesian citizens to join the National Reserve Component. ASN employees are among those expected to join the Reserve Component forces," Tjahjo said as quoted in SE, Wednesday, December 29.

Tjahjo explained that the invitation for ASN to join Komcad could play a role in supporting national defense efforts. Personnel development officers (PPK) in each agency are also expected to provide opportunities for ASN who meet the requirements to become members of Komcad.

If interested, ASN can conduct administrative and competency selection as a candidate for Komcad. After that, ASN is required to carry out basic military training for three months.

In carrying out the training, continued Tjahjo, ASN will get pocket money, individual field equipment, health care, as well as work accident insurance and death insurance.

"ASNs still receive the right to salary and performance allowances and/or position allowances, such as when carrying out official duties in their agency," said Tjahjo.

Then, ASN employees who occupy structural positions do not lose their positions and will return to those positions after completing basic military training.

Then, Tjahjo also asked the PPK to be expected to appoint a daily executor to replace the duties of the ASN employee.

"PPK or the talent committee should give positive considerations when classifying talents for ASN registered as Reserve Components," he explained.
