TNI Task Force Distributes Clothes To Indonesian-PNG Border Residents

MERAUKE - Soldiers from the TNI Pamtas Task Force Battalion Yonif 123/Rajawali provide decent clothes and red and white clothes to residents of the RI-PNG border in Bupul Village, Merauke Regency, Papua.

Commander of the Kalimaro Post, Pamtas Task Force Battalion 123/RW, First Lieutenant Inf. Edi Ritonga, said the activity was to strengthen the relationship between the TNI and the community, especially in the atmosphere of Christmas.

"Personnel of Pos Kalimaro carry out social services by giving clothes to the underprivileged," he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, December 27.

First Lieutenant Inf. Edi Ritonga explained that efforts to maintain friendly relations with all elements of society in the assigned area are part of the tasks carried out by soldiers of the Pamtas Battalion Battalion 123/RW.

"We want the public to benefit from the presence of the TNI task force here, especially the poor, especially in the Christmas atmosphere," he said.

First Lieutenant Inf. Edi Ritonga hoped that by giving the Red and White shirts from the TNI Headquarters, residents at the border would love the TNI more and create the TNI's unity with the people.

"We will always try and do our best in every effort to help the community," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Bupul Village Pasifikus Anggojay welcomed the social service positively.

"We as a community are very happy with the presence of Mr. TNI here, which always provides benefits, especially in overcoming the difficulties faced by the residents here," he said.
