JAKARTA - The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, has shown his firmness in dealing with three soldiers involved in a collision in Nagreg, Bandung Regency, West Java. Where, the accident caused a couple to die.

General Andika's firmness was seen after ordering TNI investigators to punish the three soldiers. In fact, they did not hesitate to fire Colonel Inf P, Corporal Two DA, and Corporal Two AD as members of the TNI.

The actions of the three members of the TNI were when victims Handi Saputra (16) and Salsabila (14) crossed Nagreg Street, Bandung Regency, West Java on Wednesday, December 8.

However, the victim is reported missing after being involved in an accident. The two victims, who used a Suzuki FU-type motorcycle with police number D 2000 RS, were allegedly hit by another vehicle when they were about to enter Nagreg Street.

After three days had passed, police officers from the Central Java Regional Police reported that a body was found in the Serayu River area on Saturday, December 11. The two bodies have the same characteristics as the victims of the accident in Nagreg.

Handi was found on the banks of the Serayu River, Rawalo District, Banyumas Regency, while Salsabila was found in the Serayu River estuary area, Adipala District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java.

It was later discovered that the three TNI personnel had hit the couple. In fact, they are strongly suspected of disposing of the victim's body to eliminate traces.

Kapuspen TNI Major General TNI Praantara Santosa said this case had received the attention of the TNI Commander. Where, ordered to process the law of the three soldiers.

"The Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, has ordered the investigators of the TNI and the Army and the Auditor General of the TNI to carry out the legal process," said Pranata in his statement, Saturday, December 25.

The order to process the law because they have violated three articles of criminal law. Where, one of the articles violated is a life sentence.

"The three TNI AD officers violated Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Highway Traffic and Transportation, including Article 310 (threats to imprisonment for a maximum of 6 years) and Article 312 (threats to imprisonment for a maximum of 3 years)," he said.

"The Criminal Code is Article 181 (threats to imprisonment for a maximum of 6 months), Article 359 (threats to imprisonment for a maximum of 5 years), Article 338 (threats to imprisonment for a maximum of 15 years), Article 340 (threats to imprisonment for a maximum of life)," he continued.

Not only that, but General Andika Perkasa also ordered to give them additional punishment. The punishment is dismissal.

"The Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, has also instructed TNI and AD investigators as well as the TNI AD investigator to give an additional sentence of dismissal from military service for the 3 members of the TNI AD," said Pranata.

On the other hand, the handling or legal process against the three soldiers of the Indonesian Army is still ongoing. The inspection process and other series continue to be carried out.

In fact, at this time the Army Military Police (POMAD) stated that the three soldiers had been detained.

"The three suspects have been temporarily detained by POMAD investigators to carry out investigations," said Head of Puspomad Lt. Col. Agus Subur Mudjiono.

However, regarding the results of the interim examination, Agus was reluctant to elaborate. The reason is that the authority to provide explanations regarding the handling of the case rests with the Army Headquarters.
