Man In Tarakan Kaltara Arrested For Storing 50 Grams Of Cannabis, Purchased From Makassar At Million Prices

KALTARA - The Detective and Drug Unit (Satreskoba) of the Tarakan Police, North Kalimantan, arrested two suspects with the initials AA and TH related to cases of possession of narcotics of approximately 50 grams.

Suspect AA was arrested on Tuesday, December 14 while playing at the Naga Mas Badminton Court, Jalan Diponegoro.

Head of the Tarakan Resort Police, Ipda Dien Fahrur Romadhoni, said that from suspect AA, the officers managed to secure evidence in the form of two clear plastic packages containing 34.2 grams of marijuana, a bundle of rolling paper (rolled) radja mas, a plastic box, a cell phone, and sling bag.

After the development of the case, the Tarakan Police Satreskoba Team managed to arrest a perpetrator with the initials TH in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

"After the development was carried out, we managed to find another perpetrator suspected of supplying or giving the marijuana items to suspect AA," he said in Tarakan, Antara, Friday, December 24.

The suspect TH was secured at a hotel in Makassar on Sunday, December 19 at around 12.45 WITA and then taken to the Tarakan Police Station.

"From the hands of TH, 16.60 grams of marijuana was secured. TH was arrested when he was about to send another package of marijuana to AA," said Dien.

From the suspect's statement, AA said that the marijuana was used for personal consumption and this was the first time it was ordered from TH at a price of Rp. 2,600,000 and sent via a package delivery service.

"From AA's confession, it is for personal consumption if someone asks him to give it. To be happy," he said.

The two suspects were schoolmates when AA was still in Makassar. AA works as a shopkeeper in Tarakan, while TH works odd jobs.
