Ahead Of The Year-End Holiday, The Flow Of Vehicles Entering Gilimanuk Bali Is Starting To Increase

JEMBRANA - Ahead of Christmas and New Year's Eve, the flow of passengers and vehicles entering Bali through Gilimanuk Harbor, Jembrana Regency, Bali, began to increase.

Jembrana Police Chief AKBP I Dewa Gde Juliana said the increase in the flow of passengers and vehicles had been recorded since December 19. The average increase is 1,000 passengers and vehicles.

"From the number of passengers, we calculate the increase per day, there is an increase of around 1000 passengers," said Juliana, Friday, December 24.

From the data obtained, the graph of passengers and vehicles entering and leaving the Island of the Gods began to occur from December 19 with more than 15 thousand passengers. Meanwhile, in early December, the average number of passengers was only 8 thousand to 13 thousand.

Then, for incoming and outgoing vehicles on December 19, it almost reached 4 thousand. Meanwhile, at the beginning of December, it was only around 3 thousand more.

On Thursday, December 23, the number of passengers entering and leaving Bali was around 13,000-14 thousand.

Meanwhile, for those who entered Bali there were 14,263 passengers, 530 motorcycles, 1,555 private cars, 1,871 trucks and 144 buses.

"The number of people went up by 1000 people, motorbikes also went up. For the graph, there was the highest increase on the 19th exit or entry and coincidentally on Sunday. And the day there was an increase but not significant," added Juliana.

Meanwhile, the peak flow of passengers and vehicles into and out of Bali is predicted to start on December 28.

There are 100 personnel prepared in the Gilimanuk area to anticipate safety and a surge in passengers. In addition, four posts have also been prepared, including one service post, one integrated post and two checkpoints at the entrance to Gilimanuk Harbor.

Then, two vaccination service posts from the National Police and ASDP at Gilimanuk Port have also been prepared for passengers to vaccinate.

"Our appeal from the Jembrana Police is for people who come out and those who come in. First, it follows the rules of the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding domestic travel that requires complete vaccines. Then rapid antigen 1x24 hours and also for the community to facilitate the process there so that it is connected to the Cares for Protect Application," said Juliana.
