Update On COVID-19 As Of August 20: New Cases 2,266, Healed 2,017

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health releases data on handling COVID-19 as of today. Based on the examination of 28,824 specimens, around 2,266 people tested positive for COVID-19.

"The total number of positive cases since the first time COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 147,211 people," he was quoted as saying from the Ministry of Health's data, Thursday, August 20.

Meanwhile, for cured cases, 2,017 people were added. Thus, the total is 100,674 people. Furthermore, 72 confirmed positive cases died, bringing the total to 6,418 people.

For the most positive confirmed cases occurred in DKI Jakarta with 594 people. Thus, the total accumulation reached 31,610 people.

Then, East Java Province with the addition of positive confirmation cases as many as 371 people. Furthermore, West Java with 199 people.

Meanwhile, for recovered cases, DKI Jakarta also occupies the first position with 724 people. Followed by East Java with 409 people.

So far, there are 5 provinces that report no positive confirmed cases. For example, Bengkulu, Jambi, Central Sulawesi, Gorontalo, and East Nusa Tenggara. In addition, 13 Provinces also reported cases under the number 10.

"484 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19," he wrote.

Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases was 79,484 people.
