Reaching 3rd Rank In Road Operations, Ministry Of PUPR Gives 'Gift' 2 Excavators To The NTT Provincial Government

KUPANG - The Provincial Government of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) received assistance of two excavator units from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

The assistance for the two heavy excavator units is an appreciation of the PUPR Ministry because NTT Province won the 3rd best ranking in the field of community building in road management for the regional government category.

Head of the NTT Provincial PUPR Service Maksi Nenabu said that the award and assistance were given directly by PUPR Minister Mochamad Basoeki Hadimoeljono to coincide with the 2021 Road Day commemoration which was held in Jakarta, Monday, December 20.

"This is a very special gift for the NTT provincial government on its 63rd birthday. This award is also a form of appreciation from the central government for the commitment of the Governor and Deputy Governor of NTT to complete the construction of road infrastructure in NTT," he said in a statement. received in Kupang, Antara, Thursday, December 23.

He said his party will continue to work hard so that by 2022 all provincial roads can be completely repaired to support economic growth in NTT.

Maksi Nenabu explained that until December 2021, 884 kilometers of provincial roads had been worked on or repaired from a total of 906 kilometers that suffered heavy and light damage.

The road construction utilizes financing from loans from Bank NTT and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI), as well as the General Allocation Fund, Special Allocation Fund, and the Regional Road Grant Program.

"There are still around 22.33 kilometers left which will be completed in 2022," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the award, the Deputy Governor of NTT Josef Nae Soi expressed appreciation from the Ministry of PUPR for the award and continues to support the improvement of road infrastructure in NTT.

"We should be proud because the provincial government is ranked third nationally in the regional government performance category for road administration," he said.
