MATARAM - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mataram City Police is investigating the cause of medical waste piling up and strewn around the area of the former Community Eye Health Center (BKMM) building in West Nusa Tenggara.

"We will later call the relevant agencies, the NTB BKMM, the NTB Health Service, the Forestry and Environment Service and also the State 2 Mataram Special School, which is now occupying the building," he said.
However, he stressed, they will prioritize the handling of medical waste which is now a threat to health problems for the surrounding community and the SLB Negeri 2 Mataram.
"Our priority is the continuity of the teaching and learning process there, because in early January 2022, they (SLB Negeri 2 Mataram) have started. So how is it now that the place is safe, clean and the school can carry out teaching and learning activities," he said. This was reported by Antara.
