SLEMAN - The Ministry of Religion initiated to offer religious tour packages at the Prambanan Temple complex which is located on the border of Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region and Klaten Regency, Central Java.

"We are currently working on this religious tourism. We are still struggling to realize a memorandum of understanding with other stakeholders," said the Director of Religious Affairs at the Directorate General of Hindu Guidance at the Ministry of Religion Trimo in Prambanan, Wednesday, December 22.

According to him, it is hoped that Prambanan Temple can become a center for the development of spiritual values and Hindu civilization of the archipelago for the world.

"Prambanan temple has extraordinary spiritual values, for that we must show and spread it so that the values born from the spirit of the archipelago can be an inspiration to the world," he said.

Trimo said that currently his party is continuing to work so that the memorandum of understanding can be realized immediately.

"Because the religious tourism package will begin to be implemented when the memorandum of understanding has been signed," he added.

He said the agencies that participated in the signing of the memorandum of understanding consisted of several ministries.

"These ministries include the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Ministry of SOEs, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and other sectors," continued Trimo.

Trimo said, it is hoped that next year this religious tour package can be implemented.

"Later on, this religious tourism will also provide space and support all activities, both cultural, market activities and religious activities and community activities around Prambanan Temple," he said.
