JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin reminded all government institutions not to only implement the commitment to eradicate corruption solely in a ceremonial or formal manner.

This was conveyed by Vice President Ma'ruf when delivering his remarks at the Integrity Zone Awarding event towards a Corruption Free Area (WBM) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Region (WBBM) via video conference from Jakarta, Monday.

"The commitment to eradicating corruption must not stop at ceremonial or administrative matters," said Ma'ruf Amin at the vice president's official residence in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Monday, December 20.

The Vice President said the Government's various strategies to eradicate the practice of criminal acts of corruption must become a work culture in ministries and non-ministerial government institutions (K/L) as well as local governments (Pemda).

"The Roadmap for Bureaucratic Reform, the WTP (Unqualified) predicate, the integrity pact, and the WBK and WBBM awards, must all be manifested in the organization's work culture and excellent public services," he stressed.

Various real efforts must also be made by work units under K/L and local governments, he continued, so that people can enjoy various public services more quickly, easily, cheaply, and inclusively.

The vice president also appealed to all ranks of K/L and local government as public servants to immediately improve the quality of themselves and their organizations, so that they can provide the best service.

"Now is a good opportunity as a momentum for introspection for all stakeholders present, to continue to improve the quality of self and organizational character," he explained.

On this occasion, the Vice President expressed his appreciation to various K/L and local governments who won the WBM and WBBM awards, as well as to the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB) as the driving force for the development of the Integrity Zone.

"Thank you to the Kemenpan RB for always consistently driving the development of the Integrity Zone in government service units. Congratulations also to all agencies receiving the Integrity Zone award for WBK and WBBM," he said.
