DENPASAR - Celebrity Jessica Forrester from Jakarta who was caught in a methamphetamine case was not sent to a detention cell, but was immediately rehabilitated at the Bali Samsara Medical Rehabilitation Foundation. The rehabilitation has apparently been carried out since August 2021.\

Spokesperson for the Denpasar, Bali District Court, Putu Gede Astawa, confirmed Jessica Forrester's rehabilitation. According to him, the rehabilitation of the Bali Province BNN assessment.

"Yes (in rehabilitation). The Bali Provincial BNN after an assessment concluded that rehabilitation should be carried out because he is an addict. So since the police process, around August an application was submitted to place Jessica in a rehabilitation facility," said Astawa, Wednesday, December 15.

This application was submitted to the chairman of the court who then granted it by placing Jessica Forrester in a rehabilitation facility.

"Directly at the rehabilitation place. So he was immediately detained at the rehabilitation place," he said.

The reason why BNN Bali is doing rehabilitation is because Jessica Forrester is an addict. Meanwhile, the case is still being tried at the Denpasar District Court.

Jessica Forrester was arrested at an elite villa on Jalan Desa Kerobokan, North Kuta, Badung on Friday, July 9. The evidence confiscated was a clip containing methamphetamine with a net weight of 2.95 grams.

There is also a clip containing 3 yellow tablets containing methamphetamine with a net weight of 1.05 grams including 0.78 grams of methamphetamine powder.

"With a total of 4.78 grams of methamphetamine, the head of the BNNP Bali, Brigadier General Gde Sugianyar Dwi Putra, said Tuesday, July 13.

Jessica Forrester and the manager of a nightclub in Bali have been named as suspects. Both were charged with Article 112 Paragraph (1) Jo. Article 132 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
