JAKARTA - A joint TNI-Polri team has arrested a young man named Adi Rawai, aged 27, who is suspected of being involved in a member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the Yapen Islands Regency, Papua.

Head of the Nemangkawi Operations Public Relations Task Force Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal said the arrest was made after a shootout occurred between KKB and members on Mount Impura, Ambaidiru Village, Kosiwo District, Yapen Islands Regency, Papua.

"When the team was on patrol, the team was fired upon twice by the KKB, so the team responded to the guess," said Kamal in a written statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 14.
