CCTV Recorded, Men Wearing Ojol Jacket Steals Cellphones And Computers In Kramat Jati

JAKARTA - The action of a man wearing an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) was caught on CCTV when he broke into a shophouse on Jalan Kayu Manis, Balekambang, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. The perpetrators managed to take computers and cellphones that were stored in the shop.

Based on CCTV footage, a man with an online motorcycle taxi attribute came to the shophouse which had been closed. The perpetrator was seen observing the situation before taking action.

After feeling safe, the perpetrators immediately dismantled the shop's rolling door lock. After opening the shop fence, the perpetrator entered the shop.

The perpetrator, who was wearing an ojol jacket, had diverted the suspicions of passers-by so that the theft went smoothly.

"In just 5 minutes the perpetrators managed to get away with the computer and cellphone from the shop," said Rani, a victim who owns the shop, Tuesday, December 14.

In addition to experiencing losses of up to millions of rupiah, the shop owner is also worried that his cellphone number will be misused by the perpetrators. The victim plans to file a police report on the incident.

"It is hoped that the perpetrators will be caught soon so as not to cause other victims," said the victim.
