JAKARTA - The water treatment box truck belonging to the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) numbered B 2835 XEU was scorched on the JORR toll road KM.35,600 A, Cipayung, East Jakarta. The fire scorched the body of the car, especially the front.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene immediately tried to extinguish the fire. After almost an hour of watering, the fire was successfully extinguished by the deployment of three fire engines.

According to Baharudin, the truck driver, he was driving from the direction of Cengkareng to Bekasi.

"When I saw smoke coming from the box of the truck, I panicked and stopped the vehicle," he told reporters, Tuesday, December 14.

Then sparks erupted and burned the entire front of the truck. Luckily, there were no casualties in this fire incident.

As a result of the incident, the loss is estimated at one billion rupiah. The Head of Highway Patrol (PJR) Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Sutikno confirmed the information.

"Yes, the information is that the car belongs to PUPR for the wastewater treatment plant," he said when confirmed.

Sutikno said there were no fatalities as a result of the fire. Because, when the driver was driving the car he saw smoke, then immediately got out of the car.

Shortly after the driver got out, the car burst into flames and caught fire. According to information, Sutikno said, the car was a new car driven by the driver. It is suspected that the fire occurred in the vehicle's engine short circuit.
