JAKARTA - Eight members of a motorcycle gang involved in an attack in the West Jakarta area have been arrested by the police. The eight perpetrators came from three different gang groups.
The Head of the Taman Sari Metro Police, AKBP Iver Son Manossoh, said four people were members of the United West Alliance motorcycle gang and the other 4 were members of the North - Central and Tangerang motorcycle gangs.
"They were arrested in three areas, namely, Tanah Abang, Kembangan, and Penjaringan," he said when confirmed, Tuesday, December 14.
Furthermore, AKBP Iver Son said that the three perpetrators who were arrested were from Kembangan, West Jakarta and one youth from Tanah Abang. Then four other youths came from Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
"We managed to catch eight youths, we identified them," he said.

"They were charged with Article 170 regarding violence, with a maximum threat of 9 years in prison. And Article 2 of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951, concerning possession of sharp weapons with a maximum threat of 10 years in prison," he said.
